Forlorn
Forlorn captures the essence of abandonment and profound loneliness, reflecting the fragmented, hidden parts of ourselves that evoke both shame and yearning.
This piece confronts the grotesque, amalgamated aspects we often try to reject or erase. These reminders of our perceived inadequacies and flaws that linger despite our efforts to cleanse them. Standing as vivid symbols of the inner turmoil that haunts us, a haunting reminder that these so-called imperfections are inseparable from who we are.
Through this piece, I aim to explore the paradox of self-acceptance, suggesting that true wholeness comes only when we embrace even the most uncomfortable aspects of our identities. Forlorn invites viewers to reflect on the beauty within their own scars and shortcomings, offering a path to healing by accepting the parts of themselves they might otherwise wish to forget.

Unmoved & stoic
Unmoved & Stoic, visually representing the detachment that can arise when we intellectualize our pain. Examining wounds with a dispassionate curiosity rather than truly acknowledging the harm done.
In this piece, I explore the way we often observe our own damage from a distance. Studying it without taking steps to protect or defend ourselves. This detachment becomes a form of survival, an unfeeling approach to life where we exist rather than fully live.
Through stark imagery and restrained composition, Unmoved and Stoic embodies the tension between awareness and numbness. Inviting viewers to question the cost of emotional distance. By intellectualizing our pain, we may gain understanding but we risk losing connection to the very experiences that shape us.
This work challenges the viewer to confront the line between observing and feeling, asking what is sacrificed when we remain unmoved.

Veneer
Veneer dives into the dark, often concealed emotions. The simmering rage that lies dormant within us, waiting for the moment it can no longer be contained. This piece captures that inner turmoil, where a thin mask of gentleness is all that stand between our subconscious and conscious selves. The silent creeping of suppressed anger is unbearable.
The composition reflects this struggle, using layered materials to represent the fragments that make up our complex selves. Each fragment serves as a reminder of past experiences, shaping and distorting the final image we present to the world.
Through this work, I invite viewers to confront the tension between the controlled surface and the chaotic forces beneath. Exploring the fragile boundaries between calm and fury. Veneer ultimately reveals that beneath even the calmest exterior, there exists an array of emotions, each one contributing to the intricate whole that is our inner landscape.

Isle of Aeaea
This piece reimagines the island of Aeaea. The domain of Circe, the powerful witch whose magic rivaled even that of Hecate. Through her spells, she commanded the forces of transformation and defied the natural order. Creating a haven of her own design.
While legend speaks of her outwitted defeat by the hero king Odysseus, I challenge that narrative written by men. A Powerful witch that blurred the line between mortal and Deity. Men who had in legend reduced her to a conquered figure. Instead, I ask: what if her power was never subdued but misrepresented through the male lens?
The piece dives into the unspoken mysteries of Circe’s encounters, portraying her not as a victim but as a sovereign force. A reflection of her magic; untamed, enigmatic, and hauntingly beautiful. Through layers of dark hues and intricate details, this work seeks to reclaim Circe’s story. Restoring her as an enduring symbol of feminine strength and autonomy in a world quick to erase it.

Aello: The Torment of Phineus
This painting explores the myth of Phineus and the Harpy Aello, the storm bringer, whose form defies the boundaries of woman and beast.
Aello, one of three sisters, embodies raw fury and visceral disgust, haunting Phineus as punishment for his transgressions of revealing what was to come. Beyond the surface of mythology, the Harpy becomes an allegory. A reflection of how society has historically labeled women as monstrous when they challenge expectations. Their wildness, anger, or independence is twisted into something fearsome, something “other.”
In this work, Aello is neither villain nor victim but a force of nature, unapologetically wild and unyielding. The composition captures her primal energy through sharp contrasts and turbulent textures, echoing the chaos she brings. Reimagining Aello’s presence, the piece questions the narratives that turn defiance into monstrosity and challenges us to reconsider the stories we tell about women who refuse to conform.
